As a recent graduate I would highly recommend this to friends and family as a first choice. The facility serves as a halfway point before fully returning into the real world. The home has an open floor plan, private backyard, shaded lounge area and gym equipment.

Outpatient

Steve ran a successful studio and gallery space, worked on television sets, and has been involved in the city’s creative culture for years before his journey with New Life. He has been around highly structured sober livings for the last 6 years committed to self-improvement and all others who come into a process like New Life. He opened Chelsea’s House, a group of facilities for young men’s sober living in Los Angeles. With this, he had a vision of helping men abstain from alcohol and drug dependence.

He is passionate about both mindfulness and psychiatry, and seeks to blend the two. Although he primarily focuses on TMS and psychopharmacology, he is trained in various modalities of psychotherapy including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. He is a clinical instructor at UCLA, and has been selected to be on the list for Southern California Super Doctors for 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015. Dr. Lichtman brings his extensive experience with addiction psychiatry to serving the young men of Chelsea’s House. Being in recovery himself, he is an advocate for utilizing the 12 steps and has honed his skills at assisting clients and their families incorporate them while recognizing them as part of a comprehensive plan for recovery. Known for their strategic acumen, David excels in cultivating impactful connections within the community and driving collaborative initiatives.

After the house, he spent time case managing at Clear Recovery Center, facilitating groups about sobriety. Cole has a unique passion for helping young men recover and create the life they’ve always dreamed of. In his spare time, you can find Cole on the tennis court, or curled up watching a good film. New Life involves the families, and gives these young men long term community.

Patient and therapist meet 1-on-1 to work through difficult emotions and behavioral challenges in a personal, private setting. Dr. Josh Lichtman is an experienced psychiatrist who has been practicing for close to two decades.

  1. Throughout his months at new life, he slowly learned how to love himself, to gain confidence and to truly learn what it means to be at peace.
  2. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society.
  3. The ongoing relationship with the program is what keeps them sober long term.
  4. In addition to our recovery staff, we have partnered services with specialists to provide the best treatment for young men in recovery.
  5. Plain and simple, Chelsea’s House is amazing…it’s hard for me to describe in words how wonderful this program really is. i can truly say that as a mom, they have given me my son back.
