Overview

This tour takes us on a wild journey through jungles of central India which was Rudyard Kipling’s source of inspiration for “The Jungle Book”. Visit Bandhavgarh National Park, being rated as the best for tiger spotting the world over because of the high density of tigers. Day 1 - Arrive Delhi ( Monday )

Met on arrival at New Delhi airport and transfer to a hotel near the airport for the night.

Overnight at Trident Gurgaon ( 5 star hotel )


Day 2 - Delhi/Bhopal/Jabalpur/Bandhavgarh(Tuesday)

Early morning transfer to airport to board scheduled flight to Bhopal ( Jetlite,  0540-0700 hours) and then connect to flight to Jabalpur ( Ventura Air, 0830-0940 hours ) and then connect to Bandhavgarh bound flight  ( Ventura Air, 1000 - 1025 hours, operating Tue, Thu and Saturdays only)

 

Met on arrival at Umaria airstrip and transfer to lodge ( 30 Kms, 1 hour)

Lunch and Afternoon game drive with naturalist in open top vehicle

Dinner and Overnight at Kings Lodge / Upgrade to&Beyond Mahua Kothi for a supplement.


Day 3 - Bandhavgarh Park ( Wednesday )

Morning game drive.

Afternoon visit a tribal village and their fascinating weekly market OR explore the countryside on bicycles.

Note : The Park is closed for visitors on Wednesday afternoons only.


Day 4 - Bandhavgarh Park ( Thursday )

 

Morning and Afternoon Game drives with naturalist, in open top vehicles.

All meals and overnight at Lodge


Day 5 - Bandhavgarh Park ( Friday )

Morning and Afternoon Game drives with naturalist, in open top vehicles.

All meals and overnight at Lodge

 


Day 6 - Bgarh/Jabalpur/Bhopal/Delhi (Sat)

Transfer to Umaria airstrip to board flight to Jabalpur ( Ventura Air, 1040 - 1100 hours ) and then connect flight to Bhopal ( Ventura Air, 1500 - 1600 hours) ,and then flight to Delhi ( Jet Airways, 2030 - 2145 hours )

Met on arrival at Delhi airport and transfer to a hotel near the airport, for the night.

Overnight at Trident Gurgaon


Day 7 - Depart Delhi ( Sunday )

Day at leisure. Room will be Reserved till departure for the airport.

Transfer to International airport to board onwards flight this evening / night.

( Check In is 3 hours prior to flight departure )


Note

Bandhavgarh was the hunting reserve of the royal family of Rewa, The national park is extremely rugged with many hills.The marshes which use to be perennial now support a vast grassland savannah. There are also ancient cave shrines scattered around the park, dating back to the 1st century BC. There is also remanents of a 2000 year of fort , within the park. The park has a very rich biodiversity, but is primarily a moist decidous forest.

Trident Gurgaon

 Trident Gurgaon is a five star hotel for business as well as leisure travelers. It is conveniently located and is about 15 minutes drive from the International airport on the Delhi to Jaipur highway. 25 minutes drive from downtown New Delhi. Kings Lodge

The lodge is spread in a sprawling estate of 12 acres in Rancha village (8-10 minutes from the park gate) and is surrounded by Sal forested hills on all sides. It has 10 cottage rooms and 8 stilt cottage rooms with en-suite modern bathrooms. All cottage rooms have large open verandahs overlooking Sal forest and grasslands.
