Itinerary:  Best of Historical & Natural World Heritage Sites

 

Overview

This grand tour takes you to Best World Heritage Sites related to culture and nature in India, namely - Emperor Humayun's tomb New Delhi, Taj Mahal - The Agra Fort and Fort of Sikri in Agra, Royal Observatory Jantar Mantar in Jaipur and Kaziranga National Park. The tour after savouring the cultural highlights of North India ends with three nights in one of India's premier National Parks - Kaziranga home to The One Horned Rhinos, Elephants, Tigers and the Wild Buffalo.

Day 1 - Delhi

 Met on arrival and transfer to hotel for the night ( Check In is 2 PM onwards).

Overnight at Hotel Claridges


Day 2 - Delhi

 Full day guided tour of Delhi


Day 3 - Delhi / Agra

 After breakfast drive to Agra. 

Afternoon guided tour of Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Overnight at Taj Gateway ( Taj View ) hotel


Day 4 - Agra / Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur visiting the deerted Mughal Fort of Fatehpur Sikri enroute

Overnight at Jai Mahal Palace


Day 5 - Jaipur

 Full day guided tour of Amber Fort and City including City Palace Museum, Royal Observatory and the bazaar of the old city.

Overnight at hotel.


Day 6 - Jaipur / Guwahati / Kaziranga Park

Morning transfer to board flight to Guwahati airport (6E 207, 0810-1210 hours).

Met on arrival and drive to Kaziranga Park (240 Kms, 5-6 hours).

Overnight at Wildgrass Resort.


Day 7 - Kaziranga Park

Morning at sunrise enjoy Game viewing on Elephant back in the Central range.

There is an organised elephant safari by the park authorities for  duration of an hour during sun rise.

After the elephant ride enjoy picnic breakfast followed by game drive, by Jeep in the central range.

Return to lodge for lunch and rest.

Afternoon Game viewing by Jeep in the Western Range.

Overnight at Lodge.


Day 8 - Kaziranga Park

 After breakfast game viewing by Jeep in the Central range.

Afternoon Game viewing by Jeep in the Eastern range.

Overnight at Lodge


Day 9 - Kaziranga Park / Jorhat / Delhi /

 Morning at sunrise  enjoy Game viewing on Elephant back in the Western range.

Transfer to Jorhat airport to board flight to Calcutta (9W 2477, 1415-1535 hours) and then connect flight to Delhi ( 9W 313, 1725-1935 hours).

On arrival at Delhi airport, proceed for departures area to board onwards International flight

You could extend your stay at Kaziranga and include the following unique Wildlife excursions : Hoolock Gibbon spotting - Day Excursion to the Hoolock Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary ( 2 hours away), the only Ape in India. Dolphin spotting - Boat trip on the river Brahmaputra to come up close to the rare Ganges dolphin ( Half day excursion - 80 Kms from Lodge )

Jai Mahal Palace

Wild Grass Resort

The Wild Grass Lodge is located just outside Kaziranga National Park.It is an attractive rural style hotelwonderfully situated by a stream in (rice) paddy fields and forest. Its grounds having more than 40 species of trees and over 200 species of shrubs, creepers and climbers. Wild Grass Lodge provides a variety of lodgings from garden cottages to thatched roofed tents. The all rooms in the Jungle Lodge have attached bathrooms with hot & cold water facilities.
