Overview

This tour takes us on a wild journey through jungles of central India which was Rudyard Kipling’s source of inspiration for his “Jungle Book”. We visit both Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks, being rated as the best for tiger spotting the world over. End March / April is day’s start to get warmer and most water sources start to dry up and the game is concentrated around the few remaining water sources. Making this period the best time to photograph and observe tigers of central India. Bandhavgarh National Park – Located in the Vindhya mountains, it is a beautiful park with woodlands, rocky hills and grassland valleys. Plenty to see in this small park (168 Sq miles) set around a historic site, with carvings, temples and an ancient fort. It has the highest concentration of tigers in a tourist zone, which are vehicle friendly. Kanha National Park – The horse shoe shaped Kanha valley has sometimes been called the N’Gorongoro of India. Herds of the Kanha miscellany, the axis deer, the blackbuck, the wild pig and occasionally the gaur (Indian Bison) throng the central parkland. With its flourishing herds and relatively tolerant predators, Kanha offers almost unrivaled scope to a keen photographer.

Day 1 - Sat, 16 Apr'16 - Arrive Delhi

( Check In is 2 PM onwards) The hotel has a resort like ambience and is set amongst 7 acres of landscaped gardens, walkways, courtyards, reflection pools and fountains.

Delhi, Capital City of independent India rewards the determined sightseer with more than a thousand monuments and two old capital buildings complexes-including the present seat of Government, designed by the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. Cosmopolitan hotels, shopping, and fine restaurants abound. Delhi also offers a glimpse into the real India: the labyrinthine street bazaars of Old Delhi, and the temples and monuments of Indian’s chequered colonial past. In the deepest sense, from Old Delhi’s Red fort and Jama Masjid mosque to New Delhi’s chic art galleries and nightclubs, Delhi is profoundly Indian city.
