Overview

A 15 day tour to a mystical land with 11 days of adventurous, fun filled bike trails across the Himalayas. The trail takes us across 1500 kms of isolated territory covered on the ever reliable Royal Enfield 500cc.

The trail spans the entire length and breadth of Himalayan region. From the south to the north, from the green foothills of the Kullu valley to the desert valleys of Ladakh on the Tibetan plateau. This trip is not for the faint hearted…Only for those with a passion for adventure and a willingness to test their courage. .

Manali is the departure and arrival point of the trip. Travellers will have the chance to get themselves acquainted with the bikes with a beautiful trek across the Kullu Valley. The valley lies in the south of the Himalayan range which is dotted with steep mountains and pristine valleys full of quiet villages.

Day 1 - Arrive Delhi

Met on arrival and transfer to the hotel.


Day 2 - Delhi / Manali

After breakfast, drive to Manali by car. Overnight in Guest House


Day 3 - Manali

Get acquainted with your motor cycle today while on a tour of the Kullu Valley, including its 10th century fort and the ancient Naggar hindu temple.


Day 4 - Manali / Jispa

Drive to Jispa via Rohtang Pass ( 3900 metres) and reachTriloknath temples in the Chandra Valley. Overnight in Guest House


Day 5 - Jispa / Sarchu

This morning drive northwards visiting some Buddhist monasteries and driving via barren landscape, before entering the Sarchu Valley. Overnight in Mobile Camp


Day 6 - Sarchu / Rumtse

The drive today leads upto Lachung La Pass ( 5050 metres)  and plunges into impressive gorges before leading to the Tanglang La Pass ( 5300 metres ), as you approach the Indus Valley.

Reach Rumtse - the first Ladakhi Village and stay overnight in Mobile Camp


Day 7 - Rumtse / Leh

The drive takes you to the regional Capital Leh via The Indus river, visiting The impressive Hemis Monastery and the Thikse Monastery enroute. Overnight in Guest House


Day 8 - Leh

Day at leisure.Overnight in Guest House


Day 9 - Leh

Today bike to Khardung La Pass ( 5600 metres ) with  a visit to the Stok Village. Khardung La Pass is India's highest motorable pass and among the highest in the world. This excursion is for the truly adventrous rider.


Day 10 - Leh / Lake Tso Moriri

Ride along the Indus Valley to the Tibetean border after which enter Rupshu - the most isolated part of Ladakh region,  followed by the famous Lake, with its pristine waters. Overnight in Mobile Camp


Day 11 - Tso Moriri / Lake Tso kar

Visit the Korzok village and its monastery. Later drive to the Salty Lake Tso Kar with its unbelieveable lunar scenery. Overnight in Mobile Camp


Day 12 - Tso Kar / Darcha

Drive Southwards on a rugged track to reach the Leh - Manali highway and further onto Darcha (3500 metres). This region is refuge of many animla species such as the Hares, Mammots, Ibex and Wild Donkeys. Overnight in Guest House


Day 13 - Darcha / Manali

Drive 140 Kms to Manali and on arrival, remainder of evening at leisure. Overnight in Guest House


Day 14 - Manali / Overnight Bus to Delhi

Day at leisure.   Transfer to board overnight bus to New Delhi this evening


Day 15 - Depart Delhi

Met on arrival and transfer to a hotel where rooms ( 1 - 2 rooms)  are booked for the day for wash and change.  Later this evening / night transfer to International airport to board onwards flight.

About the ROYAL ENFIELD MOTORCYCLE 500CC.

Our collection of motorbikes was updated in April 2009 with 16 Royal Enfield 500cc Machismo’s. The 5-lever gear box is on the left. Our Royal Enfield motorcycles are equipped with a front disk brake, a lateral luggage rack (for backpacks), comfortable saddles and a «customized» fuel tank of a capacity of 19 liters (very useful for Ladakh and Tibet trips…)
